Blooming views along the Aloe Trail, Port Elizabeth.

We recently ambled along the Aloe Trail with members and friends of the The Zwartkops Conservancy and captured some breathtaking moments. We chose the 7km trail and enjoyed great weather, winter blues and vibrant aloes in bloom. The trail meanders along the top of the ridge above Amsterdamhoek and heads up and along the Swartkops River in the direction of The Flamingo Trail.

  1. Amazing to think that I went on that same trail on the same day, just later in the afternoon. Hahaha… We knew about the guided walk the morning and at one stage considered joining it, but decided to go in our own group as we wanted to do all the caches in the reserve and the group may not have gone on all the trails. Plus we didn’t want to look for things with all the muggles around.

    • Yes I too was amazed Jonker! great that you got to enjoy some caching though in peace and quiet. Hope that you had time to notice the aloes, ha ha.
