Fairview Race Course http:\/\/mype.co.za\/new\/locations\/fairview-race-course\/<\/a> The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Fashion and Textile Design Department will be hosting a fashion show at Fairview on Sunday, 11 May 2014. Students will design garments specifically for this year\u2019s show under the theme \u201cArt At The Races\u201d and they will share their own interpretations through their design. The faculty has also added the fashion show at Fairview in this year\u2019s curriculum. \u201cWe are very happy about the project and the excitement it brings to the students and it makes sense for us to be involved in something like this for our region and to\u00a0support it,\u201d said Harm Grobbelaar, NMMU Design and Textile Director. Each student will be allocated with 2 models and they can express their creativity from headgear to body painting and elegant garments. The annual fashion show is in its second year and the event is regarded as one of PE\u2019s most popular fashion shows linked to a horse racing event.
