Nadia and Lee Brunette run this delightful farm stall in the middle of the suburb of Walmer, miles from any farm! “The Pantry on Main” is housed in the old “Provincial Fisheries” building located in a prime spot on the corner of Main Road and 10th Avenue, Walmer. They stock beautiful fresh fish on a daily basis and their fish take-aways are tasty and affordable. Try some of their sole, kingklip, calamari or snoek. On offer from The Karoo are whole chickens and deboned chicken fillets, chicken schnitzels, chicken sausage, chicken thighs, drumsticks, mince, meatballs, you name it, they stock it. We also spotted some wholegrain wraps, bran flakes and brown flour. We were impressed to see some diabetic goods on sale too. Their rustic store ( not even 3kms from us at Dempsey’s) is packed with wholesome farm stall goods such as pestos, olives, honeys, mustards, relishes, sauces, herbs, spices, biscuits, cookies, rusks, pastas, eggs, feta and goat cheese, yoghurt, halloumi and heaps more. Pop in and experience their friendly service and earthy environment. To the left of The Pantry on Main is ‘Westees Bakery’, enjoying a slice of the Pantry’s space.
